This Victorian mini hat brings structure into play – quite literally. Crafted from a firm, coarsely woven material with a linen-like texture, its shape is deliberately clean and restrained: a round silhouette, flat crown and narrow, straight brim. Though of course, it does not stop at good manners.
The brim is finished with delicate lace trim adorned with fine pearls, while an opulent arrangement of deep black, glossy flowers sits to one side. From there, a wire-reinforced plume of soft feathers sweeps upward, echoing the curve of the hat with almost playful ease. A small chiffon bow with loosely falling ribbons adds a cheeky, feminine finish.
